It has been a little over 2 months since my bypass surgery. I thought that I would have a hard time eating unhealthy stuff like cookies but would be able to tolerate small amounts of meat etc at this point. This is not the case. If I eat even a little bit of chicken, or fish I will be sick for hours and vomiting all the time. I cannot tolerate any pasta, bread, or salad either. Yet, I have no problem eating a cookie. I was hoping that I could follow a healthy diet that would consist of things like grilled salmon with vegetables but no, my tummy loves mashed potatoes and cookies! I don't know what to do anymore. Should I take a step backwards and start drinking protein soups again? I am concerned that I am not getting enough proteins. I have lost about 40 pounds so far and I am happy about that. It is only that I am having such a hard time finding lunch options that would not make me vomit.
