My team say 10 days for a short (under 30 minute) drive. Three weeks AND over the fatigue for an hour or more.

How are feeling?

I actually feel amazing. This process has be great so far. Minimal gas pain, no nausea, just tender incision sights. Thank you checking on me.

Lol...why am I not surprised!! Hey look, sometimes we gotta do what we gotta do. The good thing is, I know you take this process seriously and you won't put yourself in jeopardy. [emoji4]

Hi everyone, I'm new on here and wishing I'd found it before my RNY surgery on 12/18. I wish I was feeling as successful as some of yall. I feel like I'm struggling to get in my Protein and fluids daily. I'm still really sore internally and struggling with motivation to get up and around because I hurt so bad. The number on the scale is dropping...I've lost 19 pounds since I started my pre op diet on 12/11...but I'm just feeling miserable and having a hard time fighting off the feelings of deep regret.

Stay focused and trust the process. I was one that fortunately had no issues and is feeling a million bucks. The Fluid intake takes time but will get better everyday. I also had my surgery on 12/18. This support group has been the key factor for my sanity during the Pre-Op process. Since surgery I have lost 24 pounds in 1 week. 53 pounds since October. Just continue to take it one day at a time and trust the process. We are all here to lean on. We got you!!!

I also had my surgery on 12/18, I have very little pain and I lost 24 pounds. Im barely hungry during the whole day. I get up and have about half small cup of Jello, then broth in the afternoon. and for the rest of the day I have my Protein Shake. I was also having doubt about 3-4 days after getting out of the hospital. But now I'm sure I did the right thing. i can't wait until the next phase in 2 weeks when I can start eating something else.

Congrats. You are doing well. I have been doing well also. I do have hunger and I wished I didn't. I hope it goes away.

Tomorrow is surgery day, I started Clear Liquids today and had to drink laxative. So not fun! I'm so anxious! God help me! I'll be glad when surgery is over so I can stop worrying about it!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
