OK ... fine ... my turn. i've been relatively quiet about this except for a few PMs.

what people are doing to you is harassment and beyond rude. i know there is no way you would even think about doing this, but i'd love to see screen names of who have sent you PMs... WTF are they thinking? you are a beautiful, FIT, woman.

Chickie - you are an incredible inspiration to me and many many others. i started out with a higher weight than you and seeing your pictures gave me hope that I, too, could look amazing. people who say differently are just petty, jealous twits who need to (borrowing from another thread) bugger off!

Why not?? I think she should. If someone is harassing her that way and personally attacking her in pm's why can't she out them out?? She doesn't owe them any respect if they are disrespecting her. The hell with whoever is sending her those pm's.. she needs to post them, maybe then they will stop. Let's see them, who is attacking poor ole Chickie??:)

So much passive agression from one person. I admire the dedication that it takes to have a hate-on for me, I really do. But don't other area's of your life deserve the attention you are giving me?

LJM, She Smiles, pincham2brn, TheGh0st and Green. I love you guys!

I think it is best, for now at least if they stay down. I really don't want to antagonise the people who are harassing me covertly (and not so covertly).

Well I'm sure that I speak for the others when I say we think you're pretty great too!

And I understand why you took it all down, it just makes me sad that people are going to so much effort to be so unsupportive....I mean isn't that what we are all here for, after all?

Yes, definitely! You are amazing, Chickie, and everyone here should be using your success as an example of what they can do if they work hard, not trying to tear you down to make themselves feel better.

To add to my last post....

It's almost like some people want others in their situation to be successful, but not too successful. In their view, any acknowledgement (whether it's verbal, written, or shown in pictures) that you've succeeded is simply throwing it in the faces of the people who either didn't do so well or do it so quickly. It's showboating, to them. Hell, I've run into it here, although not in terms of weight-loss, admittedly. I just try to remember that I'm not the one that they're really mad at, I'm just an easy target for them to take their anger out on.

I'm done with this, but as a final note, I have received more than one email from people telling me they are tired of Chickie and her fascination with herself and her thinness.. They too feel she is using these skinny/thin comments personally so that others can jump in and validate how good she looks and how successful she has been. I too have said that I'm glad that you are healthy and got to your goals. Do you not understand what you read correctly?? Stop reading between the lines.. Oh, yes Chikie you are beautiful and please put back your pictures. As far as your blog, I have never and will never make any journal entries, because unlike others, I am not one of your worshipers and have better things to do than come on here especially for you.

You know I left lapband a year ago for this same very reason, nothing has changed.. Good luck to you all, yes, even Chickie. You do though should seek help for the issues you have with being the size you are (you are one freaked out chick, about being so skinny, that is!), whatever that size maybe.. You are way to obsessed with the whole skinny thing. :)

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I had about 6 months between deciding to do surgery and getting scheduled. I came across the book The Pound of Cure by Dr. Matthew Weiner, a bariatric surgeon in Arizona, and started to implement some of the changes he recommended (and lost 13 lbs in the process without ever feeling deprived). The book is very simple, and the focus is on whole, plant based foods, but within reason. It's not an all or nothing approach, or going vegan or something, but focuses on improvement and aiming for getting it right 80-90% of the time. His suggestions are divided into 12 sections that you can tackle over time, perhaps one per month for a year if a person is just trying to improve nutrition and build good habits. They range from things like cutting out artificial sweetener or eating more beans to eating a pound of vegetables per day. I found it really effective pre-surgery and it's an eating style I will be working to get back to as I am further out from surgery and have more capacity. Small changes you can sustain will do the most for building good habits for life.

That sounds awesome. I'll have to check that out thanks!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
