I had that problem too. I would just feel unsatisfied after a meal. I am only 1 week post-op, and I have had no problems getting in all of my fluids and all three meals. I do have a problem getting in all of the protein, because the protein shakes just fill me up way too much. But even after a meal, I would still find my stomach rumbling. Finally I tried just eating a tablespoon of natural peanut butter. My stomach stop grumbling, I felt satisfied, and haven't had any problems since. I don't know if this will help others, but it was on my food list from my doctor, so I gave it a go. Sometimes I wonder if we just aren't getting enough healthy fat in our diet because of the small portions and the fact that most of us are probably eating chicken and very low-fat meats and vegetables. Just my thought!

I am feeling the same way! I am 3 weeks post op....still sore and having a hard time getting comfortable sleeping...very much still in the honeymoon phase with my new stomach because I'm still trying to figure out what I can tolerate on my soft foods diet. It's so hard to feel satisfied after only 3-4 bites. I know I'm probably eating or drinking too fast. A couple times I've overfilled my stomach and totally regretted it with chest pain and heartburn that followed. (even threw up once) I have also hit a stall on my weight loss....at my 2 week follow up I lost 14 lbs and this last whole week I have not lost one pound! I'm thinking it's because I'm not drinking a liquid diet now and adding soft food now. It makes me feel almost like I should cut back or just return to the liquid diet again because surely I should be loosing....I literally only eat/drink less than 500 calories a day and hardly anything compared to what I used to eat. I'm alittle discouraged because I was excited to start soft foods but not at the expense of NOT loosing weight. It's strange how I was so excited before surgery, thinking of all the good that would follow...but I didn't realize I'd be so discouraged! any tips would be great! My team want me to eat 3 small meals a day (2-4 oz) and a cup of milk or protein shake in between....but I'm still so hungry!
