Time is getting close

Well all of my reports and tests have been forwarded on to insurance so I should hear back soon. What time frame did it take everyone for insurance approval? My goal is to have the surgery in December. During all of this insurance testing, I was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease so I need to get this weight off of me as soon as possible. It is affecting my legs and they are getting so weak. My hope is to lose a decent amount of weight to delay the possible wheelchair. I am so nervous at this point and feel like I am going to explode waiting for an answer. This is the biggest thing I have gone through and keep worrying that I am going to chicken out. Reading everyone's stories help so much and makes me want to get moving with progress. Good luck to everyone with surgeries coming up and to those already on the losers bench keep it up and keep posting those stories. It really does help those of us that are pre-op and getting nervous through this process.

I'm sorry to hear about your Parkinson's diagnosis. I will be pulling for your approval and hope that the surgery helps you keep your body healthy and mobile! I haven't had surgery yet and can't answer the question about time frame -- just wanted to show my support!

It took almost 3 weeks for my insurance to approve the surgery. Then it took another month just to get into surgery for me, and let me tell you it was the best decision i made! Now im only 8 weeks post-op and i dont regret anything. I hope this journey for you begins soon, and keep you out of that wheel chair! Your decision to have this surgery is gonna change your life completely, but for the good!! Trust me, it did for me:0) wishing you all the best!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
