Does Anyone Use Whole Psyllium Husks Post Surgery?

I'm a freak of nature--I know. But I actually like the thickness and appetite suppression/fullness that I get from adding 1 tbsp of whole psyllium husks to a drink like: iced protein coffee, apple pie spice iced tea, protein smoothies of all flavors. It really gives body and stays with me.

Will psyllium be off limits to me post surgery? Do you use it and if so, how does it affect you. How did you work into using it once you had surgery?

TIA!
