It just seemed to have crept up on me so quickly (the date). I havent purchased any foods, or made any preparations.

Why are you scared? Lets chat about it and get you ready for the first day of your new life!

Hi Sherry.

I suffer with anxiety and I put off making any preparations such as shopping etc. I just dont feel mentally ready. The date is creeping up and 30 days goes by quickly.

First day post op. Not a lot of pain. I woke up with some but the meds worked. Now I’m not using much at all. I walked 3 times today and sat up in a chair for a bit. Napping a lot lol. One day at a time!

Whoohoo! You made it... you're the line leader then, eh? :))

Day 2: passed my leak test. Think I may have over done it a bit this am. I walked a couple times went for the test then took a sink bath. I forgot I had the pain pump and hadn’t used it today yet. Until I sat back in bed and realized I had some pain even when not Moving around. I quickly used it and now resting.

This is the final night before the surgery. Ahhhhh so much anxiety. I haven't done anything all day. I really want to have one last meal before the hurrah but I decided not to, I'm committed to this journey and I don't want to self-sabotage any more. I'm ready to be HEALTHY! :1299_raised_hands_tone5:

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
