Has anyone had the mini gastric bypass?

Hi all, I had my first consultation with my surgeon last week and he recommended that I should get the mini gastric bypass. I must admit my heart is rather set on the general gastric bypass. It is a rather specialised area and not so common. I've never had weight loss surgery before but I've noticed from my research thus far, that many have transitioned from another weight-loss surgery to the mini gastric bypass(MGB).

Anyone here had the MGB? And if so, what has been your experience?
