Finally better. I was in so much pain that I was in recovery a long time. Got to my room at 12:45. I tried walking not long after and bled to the ground. This happened 3 times. I was in so much pain and exhausted that I didn't try again til 330

Surgery was at 1.30 for me. Took a bit to wake up (I think that’s from just being exhausted from the 9hr trip the day before if anything).
No pain or gas pain actually except for where the drain is. I can’t take a deep breath it cuts my breath halfway so only small short breaths. But other than that so far so good! Feeling pretty lucky right about now [emoji1431]

Had surgery Monday, 10/23. Home 10/25. Surgery wore me out, but not sick. Pain is manageable. Trying to get my walking in, but I'm so tired. Heparin shots are a pain. Doc never told me about those.

I had to do the Heparin shots for a different type of surgery. It is a pain. Glad you are coming along!

Talked a bit to the doc today since I was out of it pretty much all day yesterday even though I was walking around as soon as I was up. I guess I did so well on the liver shrinking diet he didn’t need a 5th incision to hold the liver to the side so I only have 5 incisions (1 currently has the drain which they’re taking out tonight)
Feeling more tired today than yesterday though, been taking lots of naps in between walking. And try to stay up but find myself dozing off lots too
No stomach pain yesterday but today it feels like a big kink or cramp on the upper part of my belly or like I did 1000 crunches

I feel the same way. I still have my drain until tomorrow. I got a fever the evening. 100.3. My nurse said it was pretty much normal because my body is trying to figure out what the hell just happened. Now if only I could pass gas...

I had my 15 days follow up, and they cleared me for puree foods, I made a quick chicken salad and it went down just fine !

Now, what would I have for dinner? ???

I don’t know why we would have extra incisions. Having trouble sleeping tonight for sure. Still have a lot gas’s but haven’t “located “ my Pouch yet. No full feeling not empty feeling either .

Definitely. This stage is a tiny blip in my life.
My husband told me something very valuable, he said whenever I struggle or feel like I'm getting down during recovery, I should just think of all the things I'll enjoy once slim; fitting in any chair without it cutting off the blood circulation to my legs, wearing a swim suit, wearing no sleeves in hot weather, running the parent race at my kids sports day...being more active over all...fitting on roller coasters or anything in general really.
Today is my first day on my own since surgery so having to do everything myself, my sleep wasn't great either last night but it won't be long eh [emoji4][emoji4][emoji4]

I also have gas pain still-gerring better, but it's there. I have the not hungry or full feeling as well.

Did anyone else gain weight? I started at 297. Got down to 284 pre-surgery. Came home yesterday at 295. 🙁

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
