Hello,

Started this process May of 2017. Finished 8 weeks of behavior modification classes and now have 6 monthly weight visits with my hometown doctor. Did anyone else have to do that? It is an insurance thing. I have Iowa BC/BS. I'm still hoping to get my surgery in before the end of the year since my deductible has been met. Anyone out there still in the " jumping through hoops" phase?

I'm going through Mayo's program... I have BCBS FEP and I had to do the 6 months with NUT but it was at mayo and started the month I went in for my initial visit. I finished all of my requirements for insurance and for Mayo's program within 7 months

I had jumped through all the hoops almost 2 years ago got all the way done and had a surgery date, then chickened out. So now I start again, waiting to see what parts I have to re-do and what parts if any they'll let me keep from last time. I have kaiser permanente.

Good luck!

I'm waiting for Anthem BCBS to okay the surgery. My doctor seems to think that I have done everything on the list so I hope so. I did have to go through the hoops of 6 months working with my PCP on a diet. So I understand the feelings of waiting. I have my surgery September 11.

Good Luck

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
