Not sure about liquid gels. I was able to take a normal size oblong pill day after surgery. They have to me in hospital for my depression. I also took Prilosec and Zyrtec day after ( given in hospital too).

Started vitamins on day 7 post op all mine are chewable at the moment. I'll probably stick with chewable calcium (they taste good) but I'm going to switch to 3 multi vitamin tablets per day soon.

I put my vitamins in a little container the night before and just bring it with me the following day. Iron and calcium cannot be taken within 2 hours of each other also, your body can only absorb 500 mg of calcium at a time. So, I take 5 vitamins at least 2 hours apart each day. I just wrote down when I take them which I found easier than setting an alarm to take them. I just make sure it's at least 2 hours apart for each one. I use Bariatric Advantage.
