Gas pain due to drinking liquids. 2 days post OP.

I have bad gas build up in my stomach area. As soon as i drink anything. I get a strong feeling of gas coming up my esophagus. I get relief by either burping or farting. Is this Normal or not? I've been drinking fresh watermelon juice, chicken broth and water.

It could be the watermelon juice!!!! It happened to me as well right after surgery & then found out that watermelon causes that sneaky stomach bloat!! I didn't have issues before surgery with watermelon. But after. No Go!! [emoji51]

Same thing with me, I hated that gas feeling because it was after I ate or drank anything even if it was the smallest sip. I had my 1 week post op follow up today and brought this up to my doctor and he said that the strong gas feeling is normal and it happens to a lot of people. As the week goes on it gets less and less but warmer liquids like tea and broth and also walking helped me.

I'm almost a week post op and I have a lot of gas pain as well but I've been taking GasX and it's been helping also walking seems to help as well. I'm sure it'll pass just one of the minor bumps on this long journey.
