Hey everyone my is Sarah and I'm 30 from northern Indiana. I am 2 days into my 2 week liquid diet before my VSG on July 25th. I am pretty alone in this journey thus far. I know of no one personally who has had the surgery and so am left searching the interwebs for some friendly souls who may be willing to help me through this next step. I started my journey with a clinic on November 29, 2016 at 410lbs. As of Monday, I weighed in at 320 making an even 90lbs lost so far. I am really nervous but very excited for the new life to come. I've been reaching out to some on social media, sharing my progress and have gotten so much love and encouragement. I am very thankful for all that for sure, but I would LOVE a few people who have actually been down this road that I can talk to and maybe be able to ask questions if need be. This seems like a really great place. Hope to get to know a few of you!

Hello Sarah and well done on your weight loss so far. You should be proud of yourself for the work you have put in. I am Day 6 preop diet. I think this is the first day I felt a bit better. I have ticked all the boxes you experience with VLCD plan. Irritability, excessive hunger, headaches , fatigue ... you name it. I feel somewhat normal today.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
