Anger and agitation

I just started the 2 week shake diet before surgery. I don't know if I can do this! Iam about ready to rip anybody's head off!!!

I'm hungry and Iam starting to get a bad headache.

Is or has anyone else experienced this? I need to do this. I have come so far...

Also, has anyone else had a problem because of large tonsils? Iam worried about them trying to get that thing down my throat during surgery.

I had arthroscopic surgery for my knee and when I woke up, I couldn't swallow, breath or speak. It really scared me.

They must of just crammed that thing down my throat. That's what it felt like...

Did they give you IV fluids? Ask them about the broth. I can't imagine why you couldn't have it.

Hi northstar9148...
here are some ideas I hope will help you. I don't know what brand you buy but...Buy a brand (any no name brand is fine at your local wal-mart or health food store even a big supermarket should carry protein powders. Buy a brand that is whey (milk) or soy. I think if you buy a vanilla (there is other flavours as well) flavoured brand you will have more options for shakes. Less than 5 grams of Carbs and 20 to 30 grams of protein and NO sugar.
here's one recipe
strawberry banana protein shake
1 scoop protein powder
1/2 cup skim milk, almond milk or cashew milk.
1/2 cup plain low fat yogurt
4 whole strawberries (frozen if want) or blueberry, raspberry
2 inch piece of banana
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 package sweetener (optional)
Throw into blender and blend until smooth....delicious
you can also replace the berries with peaches or even use coco powder (plain no sugar powder not hot choc mix)
try using flavourings and extracts orange, root beer, maple, for baking ...DO NOT use juice, honey or sugar for flavour.

I'm really wondering if you have a bug. No fever or anything?
That's what I'm starting to wonder. My temperature was 98 but I usually run a lower grade at 96 or so. I'm hoping it is a big and goes away soon.

Better now than after surgery.
What's your surgery date? I think you still might wanna be on the lookout for a different shake or unflavored protein powder. You don't want to be facing this post op.
