I am 3 weeks away from my final nutritionist appointment. My insurance requires 6 months of a supervised diet with a nutritionist.

I have yet to meet my surgeon. I chose a surgeon with the head nurse in charge of my case back in February.

My nutritionist told me my last appointment will consist of a final weigh in, urine sample for nicotine cessation and a visit with the psychologist for a behavioral evaluation. But no mention of meeting the surgeon yet.

When can I expect to at the very least get a glimpse of the surgeon?

I get to meet mine on July 7th, no date for surgery yet. I have finished my psychologist, seen the NUT twice and been to all meetings. I've no idea what happens next...good luck.

I met my surgeon at my first consult and every month thereafter until he submitted for approval. My surgery is 8/8.

I met my surgeon briefly at the very first seminar - she did a presentation for a group and then I got about a 10 minute consult with her. The next time I saw her was 10 months later in the OR. I could have paid for an extra appointment with her in between but I didn't really have any questions that my NUT or nurse couldn't answer so I didn't bother.

I had to wait til after the 5 month supervised diet. My last meeting was in February. I met her a week or so after I finished the meetings. Then I've seen her the month after for the pre op appointment after that came the surgery. I did see her an hour before the surgery but it was very brief. She just made sure all my questions were answered.
