Getting off track and regaining weight is so frustrating and discouraging!

This is why I created a tool to help people get back on track. It's called RESET: Getting back on track after bariatric surgery.

It's an online course where you watch the videos at your own pace. It can be found at https://resetbariatric.com

Who am I and why should you trust me?
I'm Katy Harvey, a dietitian, and I specialize in bariatric surgery and the psychology of eating. I'm also an expert in binge eating disorder and emotional overeating. I've helped hundreds of people find peace with food and their body.

Let me know if you have any questions!

In 2010 I had the Lap band surgery. I was 298 and got down to 212 and then boom. I stopped. I was actually happy with myself, and didnt find it a concern. Now...I started having issues with the band. Heartburn, chest pains, and ultimately decided to have it removed. So next week on the 16th I am having the band removed and on November 13th I am going to undergo the sleeve surgery. I'm so unmotivated though right now. I have gotten myself two brand new bags of Bariatric Advantage Protein and am trying to stick with two shakes and one good meal. But I am stuck home due to a recent spinal surgery and its so darn hard to not graze all day. SMH I ordered a few books about the sleeve and bariatric journey so hope that will kick my motivational butt in gear. Any suggestions?

Same problem except I did my surgery( gastric sleeve) 1 year and six months ago went from 292 lbs to 220 and i stopped, i put on another 13 lbs. I decided to do a pouch reset instead of another surgery, its a 10 day plan going to start tomorrow and i hope it really makes a difference. Good luck hope it goes well for you.

Good luck! I'm sure it will help. They took all the Fluid out of my band so it gave me free reign to eat whatever again and oh boy that was a mistake. I hope your reset works! You can do it.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
