Tastes have changed significantly

Work meetings all week. Today they had a sundae bar. I showed restraint and stayed away. But I craved ice cream all afternoon. This evening I picked up some Halo ice cream and decided to have a couple

Of spoonfuls. I used to love the stuff pre-surgery. Now it's like NO. Tasted so odd and left a strange after taste. Which is great actually. No more ice cream cravings.

Good for you! I experienced the same thing with a mayo-based dip.

I had issues with fish and other meats when I was first able to have meats. They taste normal to me now though. I had to keep trying them because of the need for protein. Thankfully, you don't need Halo Top. Haha!

I kind wish I had an ice cream kick just so I can try Halo Top. LOL No, not really....so far my tastes haven't changed for anything, but I'm still so early in my walk that I don't know yet, as I haven't tried much or any alternatives. Glad your craving went away, maybe another alternative would suffice if that craving comes back. ;)

I've noticed a change in tastes as well. Everything is much sweeter than before. I assume it has something to do with going cold turkey post op with liquid and soft foods diet. I used to love propel but can't touch the stuff now. Fortunately, I haven't had any cravings since surgery, only 5 weeks out so hope that sticks around.

However, dang there are a lot of food commercials!?!

I've been having that issue with everything I eat. I did the 2 week liquids and was so excited to have real food and now everything's ok the first time, but when I have it again I'm like... no thank you!
