I’ve found that if I go right after work, I’ve got the energy for it. It also helps that I’m jamming out to some music on my thirty min drive home. That’s what gets me pumped up.

I can't run without my music...I mean I could but then it is more like work..

We are doing this @Newme17 and it feels good huh? Almost 5 months post op and I think everyone in our group is under 200.

Haha!!! I forgot my headphones one day to the gym and anticipated going home instead. My husband says “they have music on at the gym” and I said “uh, no thank you. Number one, I can’t hear it (I have hearing loss in both ears) and number two, I don’t like theirs” so I went anyway and was BORED to death with my workout. I had to listen to some high school boys and their immaturity at the weights. (Rolling my eyes) never again without my music. So yesterday, my headphones weren’t working in one ear. Stopped by the dollar general store to buy some $5 ones just so I can go workout. These are not the greatest sounding headphones, lol, but at least I got my workout on without it being WORK!!!

What is your favorite genre?

For me it depends on my mood. Sometimes Christian, country, old pop, old rock, some hip hop (if I want to get my groove on..lol) my dh likes some hispanic stuff (salsa) so he got me into it. 80's music brings me back to my high school years. I graduated in 85.

I guess I like a little of everything, but no gangster rap or crazy punk rock stuff..lol..

With the exception of country, we are one and the same!!! LOL I listen mostly to Christian rock/pop and hip hop (especially when I workout). I love classic rock!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the 80's (always reminds me of our moves (military) and my dad's fitness aerobic classes that I used to go to. :) I have strictly 80's on Pandora Radio during my workdays. I'm convinced that I have some latin blood in me somewhere (and that the dna/blood analysis my brother got to figure out our genes is wrong..lol) because I'm also in love with salsa, bachata, samba, and merengue. I used to dance these for about three years and it'll always be a part of me.

no rap or punk for me either. LOL How crazy and awesome we're so much alike...WOW! :)

That is my favorite Pandora station lol 😂 I even got my daughter listening to my stuff, though she is more late nineties early 2000.

Do you watch the Voice? I admit I like to watch that show and I even got my dh watching with me. 😂

O M G...we might as well just be twin couples. Whatever y’all do, we do. Whatever y’all like, we like. Haha! My husband and I watch it together. It’s one of our favorite shows!!! I’m just giddy inside here, I can already picture y’all watching and commentating on the performances together. Right!? Lol

I think you know my answer already....I love Jennifer this season!!! Lol. She’s amazing and so smart and good at coaching! Wow!!! I won’t be surprised if she wins the American show too. Miley is comical...she’s a hoot, but I don’t take her as serious, maybe she’ll prove me wrong going forward. I always like Adam and Blake. 😁

Yes, those two are so cute the way they fuss with each other. I always tell my dh whenever it's a country singer, "you know they gonna pick Blake" lol

Great news!! My hair finally seems to be stopping on the loss. I can see the difference, seems like no else can. Thankfully I have lots of hair. Been thinking about cutting it short though....not sure. I do like being able to pull it back in a ponytail or bun, but that’s getting old. If I cut it short then I’ll need to make sure I wear some kind of makeup daily, just so I look more out together. I should probably do that now. 😂

I think I’m still losing some, but with how much I have I don’t think anyone notices. Except maybe my dh cause he always says my hair gets all over the bathroom lol.

You should try the short cut. If you don’t like it then you just have to wait for it to grow out. I tried short once or twice and I didn’t like not being able to pull it back, like you said.

I have settled on shoulder length. If you do it post some photos😊.

Over the years I’ve had it short here and there. I do get tired of not being able to pull it back. The fun of going short lasts for a short time. Then the pain of growing it out never seems to know it’s place. Then finally growing it out longer, I don’t do anything with it, just throw it back and gets boring too. So, nothing seems to satisfy or if I had the time to focus on myself (my hair), then I wouldn’t mind the stages of growth. I’m itching to cut it short again but hate the growing out part. Unless I just keep it short from now on ??? I’ll find a couple of pics from when it was short and post them sometime. Currently my hair is past my shoulders. But here are two pics of what I’m leaning towards. One shows in its natural super curly state, which is easy...throw in some mousse, let t dry, then scrunch. The other I can just blow dry the cut to make it more soft looking.

I like them both. I am kind of partial to curls and easy... if I had to blow dry and style my hair everyday it would never get done..lol...

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
