I had my sleeve 4/18 and came home with out blood pressure medication. I still can't believe it, I so didn't believe it I went to my internist today for a bp check and it was perfect. I knew that diabetics often didn't need meds after weight loss surgery but I was really surprised about blood pressure being affected too. Have other of you gone home with your blood pressure no longer an issue?

Yup, lost the diabetic and BP meds right after the surgery, been perfect since. Congrats to you, and enjoy!

I lost both meds also, perfect numbers still @ 16 days out!

I got off the hydro but my BP is still hovering between 105-120/65-90 so sometimes slightly on the higher normal side. I don't anticipate I'll need to be on metoprolol for much longer.

I had surgery to avoid blood pressure meds. My pressure was just at the point they gave me meds, it was on the low end of high.

Now my blood pressure is on the very low end of normal. Different problems, but hey no pills!

Upon leaving the hospital after surgery, they cut my doasage in half. One week later I stopped taking them altogether. When I would take them I was ready to pass out because my bp was so low.
