    Chewable Vitamins

My surgeon recommended the Flimtstones Childrens chewables, and to take 2 a day. Not together, one in morning and one at night. He just recommended tlno gummy vitamins. Also, I buy the Walmart brand, they are 7.99 for 150 in the bottle so it lasts me a little over 2 months, very affordable. Im almost 10 months post vsg and all bloodwork has came back excellent! 3. Remember, everyones surgery is different. I also was worried about all the has pains everyone talks about and I had zero gas pains! I was up walking around about 3 hours after surgery. I had no issues whatsoever. I had surgery on Friday and was driving my kids to school on Monday. I wanted to go back to work in a week because i felt that good, but couldnt get a sooner post op appt and my employer required a release from the surgeon for me to return. I also had reflux befpre surgery and rarely have it now, if I do its because I may lay down to soon after eating. Read peoples posts but dont let them get in your head. Go into surgery date with positove vibes and just know that it will be one of the best decisions you made. Good Luck amd keep us posted on how you are doing. 4. Use a vape with no nicotine. I had to be nicotine free prior to surgery also, 60 days he said. I did it though because I wanted the surgery more than smoking. You can do it!!!! Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app

    Help!

The 6 months most insurances require was a great starting point. My surheon has a requirement thay you lose 5% of your body weight before surgery. He wants to ensure you can make the needed chamges to be successful. When i started felt the 6 months was a lifetime away, but with all the preop appts he scheduled, it was here in no time. Take these 6 months to get ready for your new life. Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app

    Skipping pureed

My surgeon had us on soft food by the time I left the hospital 2 days later. We were able to eat yogurt, cottage cheese, pudding, soups, oatmeal, stuff like that. I dont think your alone, I was the same way. Sometimes I wish it was a little harder for me, i havent had problems with too much other than eggs, theyve bothered me a few times. LOST

There are a lot of factors to take into effect when determining how much you shouldve lost. I was sleeved March 31st and as of today am at 40 lb lost since being sleeved. Every time I go to the doctor they tell me I'm doing great and to keep it up. They are the ones who tell me not to compare to anyone else. Your journey is your own and you control the outcome. Have I taken a nibble of my kids pizza or burger when I shouldnt have, yes, do I drink enough water, no. I do get my protein in though, take my vitamins and get about 15k steps daily. Could I push myself in exercise and lose a bit faster, probably, but I was 251 last year, am down to 190.4 today and went from a size 46 mens to a 14 woman's (I fit in my daughters jeans[emoji6]) and am off all medications! Keep doing what you know you are supposed to do, and dont give up, or let anyone's words get you down or make you lose focus! Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app

    slow weight loss

Yes, everyones journey is different. Ive only lost 33 lbs. since surgery on 3/31/17. Slow loss is better than no loss. I am now in onederland, can fit in my daughters size 14 jeans, and no longer take medication for hbp. Keep pushing and following your doctors plan and youll be just fine. Swallowing pills

Yes, Ive been taking pills since right after surgery, if they were too big they recommend using a pill splitter. Although they did not recommend any gelcaps, said they may have a harder time going down. Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app

  15. I am about 2 and a half monts post op and am only down about 30 lbs. I also stall constantly. On surgery date I was 227 on 3/31, today am 200.4, was as low as 198.4 a few days ago, but fluctuate constantly up and down by a pound or two. The one thing I lack is water, have never been a big water drinker and still aint. Good luck on your journey!!! Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app

    Insurance question

You can go online and look up your insurance requirements. Most insurances require bmi over 40 only for eligibility, comorbities are not required with a bmi that high. Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app
