Best Broths?
I used Lipton boxed soups and just drained the noodles. It had a really good flavor. Theres 2 packets in each box and they are about $1.00. Just add 4 cups water to 1 packet and boil. They were at least tasty. Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app

Skipping pureed
My surgeon had us on soft food by the time I left the hospital 2 days later. We were able to eat yogurt, cottage cheese, pudding, soups, oatmeal, stuff like that. I dont think your alone, I was the same way. Sometimes I wish it was a little harder for me, i havent had problems with too much other than eggs, theyve bothered me a few times. LOST
There are a lot of factors to take into effect when determining how much you shouldve lost. I was sleeved March 31st and as of today am at 40 lb lost since being sleeved. Every time I go to the doctor they tell me I'm doing great and to keep it up. They are the ones who tell me not to compare to anyone else. Your journey is your own and you control the outcome. Have I taken a nibble of my kids pizza or burger when I shouldnt have, yes, do I drink enough water, no. I do get my protein in though, take my vitamins and get about 15k steps daily. Could I push myself in exercise and lose a bit faster, probably, but I was 251 last year, am down to 190.4 today and went from a size 46 mens to a 14 woman's (I fit in my daughters jeans[emoji6]) and am off all medications! Keep doing what you know you are supposed to do, and dont give up, or let anyone's words get you down or make you lose focus! Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app

THE BIG NO NO's of what never to eat or drink after the sleeve.
I had a sip from my daughters soda once while out and it didnt do anything physically to me, but its not something you would want to drink all the time. Empty calories and no nutritional value. Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app

THE BIG NO NO's of what never to eat or drink after the sleeve.
My surgeon and nut said there is nothing off limits after surgery, once you are back to a full diet. Just remember, everything has consequences that we put in our bodies, some good some bad. Make smart choices in other words, is what it came down to. Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app

slow weight loss
Yes, everyones journey is different. Ive only lost 33 lbs. since surgery on 3/31/17. Slow loss is better than no loss. I am now in onederland, can fit in my daughters size 14 jeans, and no longer take medication for hbp. Keep pushing and following your doctors plan and youll be just fine. Question for others that smoke
Yes, my surgeon tests for it and I had to be nicotine free for 60 days before surgery. Switched to vaping 0 mg nicotine and havent looked back since. Started my 7th month cigarette free today....sleeved on 3/31. I smoked since I was 16 yrs. old, so for over 25 years and it was hard, but I feel so much better now. You can do it !!! Good Luck Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app

Swallowing pills
Yes, Ive been taking pills since right after surgery, if they were too big they recommend using a pill splitter. Although they did not recommend any gelcaps, said they may have a harder time going down. Sent from my SM-N920V using BariatricPal mobile app

Need encouragement - slow weight loss, hungry all the time.
Yes, it does get discouraging, believe me!! Your sw also has a lot to do with it. I was 227 on surgery day and am 5'6". Maybe I didn't have as much as most people to lose, although I think I do, and this is why its slower. I do get my protein in, but definitely have problems getting required water intake in. I keep pushing to get more in every day. Also, my surgeon had us on soft foods by the time I left the hospital, many people are on liquid diets for weeks.
