I haven't been able to get the vitamins yet

I am almost 4 weeks post-op and I haven't started taking the vitamins yet because I can't afford them. Can anyone tell me through consequences. Also I was told that protein shakes can't be used but I have read the some of you do, is there a cretain reason why I shouldn't. Everything I eat or drink anything my stomach hurts any suggestions. All I have eaten is mashed potatoes, applesauce, sugar free pudding, cottage cheese aND just started a slice of toast and crumbled sausage. Just a very small amount at a time, is this normal. Sorry for all of the questions. Thanks everyone.

Thank you for all of your replies and suggestions I really appreciate them all. I am a single mother of four and I am on disability, so I am on a fixed income. My ex won't pay child support so that makes things even tighter. I was planning on getting my vitamins before the surgery but my doctor told me to wait because my insurance most likely pay for them. I do plan on getting them next week if the insurance doesn't go through. I have them all in my cart on Amazon, I don't have transportation my ex took the van three years ago. Again thank you all for the information.

I wish you the best and pray that you have a breakthrough and receive what you need.
