How long did it take your incision to scab over?

I am 6 days post op and my large incision (I'm assuming my port incision) still hasn't scabbed over and doesn't look like it has any intention of doing so any time soon. I emailed my doc some pics and he said it looks fine and will scab over once it stops oozing but I'm just wondering when this will be. Before the steri strips fall off I hope? How long did it take your incision to scab over or has it yet?

I had my bandage on it for like 10 days....the Sterile strips wouldn't fall off....so about 12 days after surgery I just pulled them off. I've been keeping neosporin on them, and they are good. The scabbing is all gone now on all of my incisions.

I don't think my incisions ever scabbed up. I pulled my steri strips off around day 13. and the incision was closed.

I have had other surgery too, and I never had any scabbing.

I pulled my steri strips off on day 7 like they said in our discharge papers we could. My incisions were closed....but really very little scabbing. Mine also look pretty good.

I never had mine ooze or anything. It never scabbed over either. Took the strip things off about day 6

My other cuts have scabbed over though

I am 8 days post op and I just pulled the steri strips off today. I am very surprised at my incisions. I have the normal 5, but 3 of them are very tiny puncture like wounds, then I have one down on the right side that is like a 1/2 inch long (if that), and my port is on my left side just above my belly button and to the left is only about an inch long. All have very little scabbing and all were glued and steri stripped, no stitches. My port incision is completely scabbed over and very ready to come off. All in all I am very pleased with this. I will have very little scarring if any. Dr. Zapata did an amazing job!
