  1. Hey all! IM in Mobile. I've been struggling for the last 2 months and just wondering if there is anyone in Mobile who would enjoy going to the gym, park, or somewhere to exercise together
  2. Didn't know we had a support group! Would also be hard for me to get to.
  3. Cool. I was banded by Dr. Weinstein on Sept 24 07. How much have you lost?
  4. Anyone banded in Mobile?

  10. angel, the lapband definitely is not magic. It controls your appetitie, but not your mind. I had my surgery a week ago monday and my mind is still the same as it was before. You will still have your cravings, etc. It's just something you need to overcome. Like today... I cheated and highly regret it. I was bored so I went up to Sonic and got me an order of cheese sticks. I ate four of them and felt like I was going to vomit all over the place. But, now I realize why I got the lapband. I've lost 20+ lbs now and my mind is set of my future. I hope to become married, have children, etc... that is what keeps me going. Find a hobby or something that will keep your mind off of food!
  11. My dietrician and doctor required 10 days of liquids then 3 days prior to surgery clear liquids.
  12. Mscas3, surgery is a piece of cake compared to the pre-op diet
  13. My doctor required blood test, urinalisis, Upper GI, EKG and chest x-ray
  14. I didn't take any blood thinners prior to surgery. However, when I got to the hospital they placed these pump things on my legs they pumped up and down. I also received 5 blood thinner shots after surgery. (Not sure what i got during)
  15. On my right side, about an inch from center
