Hi Everyone - I had sleeve surgery done on Monday, April 3rd, so I am two days post op. I'm feeling pretty good but am having pain/pressure when I drink. Just tried to eat a popsicle but it was painful. I think that I'm having trouble with cold drinks. Seems like I do better with room temp or heated drinks. Anyway, I just wanted to say hello and look forward to the support found here.

You don't want to do cold. You want to keep liquids at room temperature. It's normal for cold to hurt. I received this information from the pre-op nurses and nutritionist.

I also could only tolerate warm or room temp things for a few days. Then it was weird, I could only tolerate super cold. Now I'm 3 months out and frozen things like Popsicles and ice bother me again. [emoji854] I'm still learning my tummy and wish it would make up it's mind. It also hates coffee so I've been super bummed about that. Maybe in time it will get better.

I got mine April 3rd too! I haven't have any cold or warm liquids too scared to get sit so I've been sticking to room temperature Water, coconut water and pedialyte for the last two day! Still sore and still have my drain (which is a pain in the butt hope to take it out tomorrow!)

I'm also having a hard time drinking all of the fluids. I feel like I "sip" all day long but it's not enough.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
