Hi Everyone!

I am getting my lap band on October 19th and have started my liquid diet today. It is a lot harder then I thought but I can do it!ANy suggestions on things that will fill me up? I have been having horrible anxiety about the surgery and am scared to death! This is something I have wanted for along time and now that it is official I am scared. HELP!!!!!:help:

It's normal to be scared. Avoid the complications thread, that was the best thing I did for myself :eek: And I went through the B&A Pics over and over.

I don't have suggestions on filling up, the liquid stage for me was just toughing it out. Knowing it was for a good cause! I kept chicken broth handy and sipped it whenever I was getting hungry. I also put seasoning in it, I use Papa John's seasoning packets (DH orders lots of pizzas, I'd have him get me the packets).

It's ok to be scared, especially if you have never had any other kind of surgery. Just try to trust that everything will be ok and it will. It's really not bad at all! Honestly!

When I was on liquids I allowed myself as much as I wanted of chicken or beef boullion, sf jello, decaf coffee or tea, and anything else clear.

You'll do JUST GREAT!!! :eek:
