Jeannie,

Wow, only 2 weeks away from getting the band! Have you found the Sugar Buster Diet pretty easy to follow? I have had such a great experience with Dr. Bagnato's office and I really like the nurse at the Obesity Clinic who did my fill. She was great about answering any questions I had and taking up a lot of time talking with me about how things are going. Keep up the good work!

The adoption is final. He is officially our littly boy (although he's been ours for months). Such a wonderful feeling. The 2 week old is not coming until Thursday morning at 11am. The CPS worker is unable to bring him today. This is really good. Now I can just enjoy today and our adoption of Dylan.

I am doing better as far as eating. I have gotten back on track. Hope things are going well for you too.

Congrats on the adoption! I am so happy for you! I'm glad to hear things are going good for you. I had my fill last thursday and I started eating solid foods on Sunday and I have no restriction. I go back on the 15th for another fill, so hopefully I will have restriction soon. Congratulations again and keep us posted about the baby that's coming on thursday. Good Luck and God Bless!

hi folks! I just wanted to introduce myself. I just got insurance approval for Lap Band today after a very long wait (my paperwork didn't get submitted right the first time). I'm so excited!!!:whoo:

I'm getting banded by Dr. Lin at Emory/Crawford Long in Atlanta. I don't have a sugery date yet, but I'm hoping it's before the end of the year.

I have PCOS too and considered just treating that condition surgically-- but was told cysts would return unless I treated the underlying condition...the weight/metabolic syndrome. I'm hoping that one day I will be free of extra weight and cysts!!! :clap2:

Good to meet you all!

Hi everyone!

I told all of you that I had a fill on the 1st and I was feeling no restriction at all. Well today, for whatever reason, I felt it. I've heard others say that it can take a coulple of weeks to kick in. I'm not sure if it was a freak thing or if I'm feeling restriction now. At least I'm feeling something, I was beginning to wonder if it was really in there.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
