Hi all!

I am scheduled to have my sleeve on 3/22... I have a 4 year old and 6 year old, who know nothing of the surgery, so far. For those of you with young kids, what did you tell them regarding your surgery besides, "mommy's going to get most of her tummy taken out, and I will only be drinking stuff for quite a while. Oh, and you can't jump on my belly".

I am usually very upfront with my girls, however I don't want to scare them, either!! Thoughts?

I appreciate your feedback (mostly [emoji6])... I will most certainly tell my daughter's something- just debating what to say, as they are so young (4 and 6 years old). I don't want them to be scared, by any means, but I also would never think of not telling them something- they are perceptive little girls, and will have a million questions regardless of what I say. [emoji39]

I just feel strongly in protecting children.

My daughter is 5 so wouldn't understand what's going on she'll just know daddy was in the hospital. No qualms with giving her the info when she is old enough to understand what happened -- or if she asks.
