Potassium citrate supplement OK with sleeve?

Has anyone heard if Potassium citrate supplements are OK with sleeve? I was getting leg cramps and eye twitches and I thought that I might be low on potassium so I bought a supplement but when I read the warnings it sounded like it could burn your stomach and since we don't have much of a stomach I was just curious .

By the way I'm more than a year out of surgery

As a pharmacist student, I wouldn't recommend taking any kinda of OTC potassium supplements.
This is literal off my book that I'm pasting here: ( the handbook of OTC medications)
Potassium
•General counseling points
•Avoid recommending over-the-counter supplements
•Caution: Salt substitutes
•Watch or arrhythmias
•Drug interactions with drugs that increase potassium: ACEIs, ARBs, potassium-sparing diuretics
