My surgeon has suggested that I get a boob lift and implants. I not sure if I should get the implants. What is everyone opinion on this?

How long after you reach goal do you have to wait to get your boobs done? I'm currently a 42i and cannot wait to have these puppies done. Some plastic surgeons did a presentation about post-WLS procedures at a support group and they said something about patients having to stabilize at goal for a while (a year? I can't recall what they said). It seemed like you first needed to prove that you wouldn't gain the weight back :(

PS's are all different.... but the most commend is to be stable for one year. I didn't have my boobs done only my Tummy. I was a 44H... now im a 34H.... my boobs stayed the same pretty much

If I reach goal and my breast are sightly saggy, I will be getting a lift.

I'm tossing around getting a second reduction after all is said and done. I had my first when I was 16 and I'm still a ddd...am hoping my boobs will magically shrink with my weightloss, but no such luck so far.

@Travelher I was a DDD/E and had surgery 8/30/16. Out of nowhere in the last two months, I went down to a D. It can still happen for you.

@_Kate_ You look fantastic!

Looks great! Did you get an augmentation, or just a lift? I have a feeling I'm going to want to get my boobs done too.

I was told that if you're happy with the size you are when wearing a bra (boobs all propped up) then you only need a lift (they rearrange your own tissue), if you think they are too small in a bra... then you need implants.

My time is NOW!

oh thank you for saying this! I seem to only ever hear of people doing lifts AND implants or lifts AND reductions. just a lift would be what I'd want for myself. gonna wait until I'm well into maintenance before I consider doing it though.

My wife is preparing to get a boobs surgery. She told, that doctor scanned her with a handheld 3d scanner to model the final result on PC before surgery. I was curious, so we found out that it was Artec Eva. Never heard about it before. Maybe someone had some experience with such kind of devices?

Breast lifts are usually self pay right? Anyone mind sharing what it cost them to have done?

      I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

      I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

        That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

      Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
