Well done you! Great piccies, too many memories! What's a skerrick? Is it something you northerers aspire to?

I've seen WLS Wendy a couple of times now and now am the proud possessor of 4.5mls saline, and it's made a noticable difference. She's lovely and so encouraging. Thanks forum folk for helping me find her!

Hi everyone, good to see you all, sorry not been on here for ages you all know wat it is like, I work full time and dont get home till 6 each evening. It is so good to see how well every one is doing. Sorry to hear your mess flirty, I feel just the same as you, I have only had 3 fills, still no restriction, food gets stuck all the time, but I never feel full, I just end up in lods of pain, I have not lost any more weight, I am now starting to put weight on, which is depressing, I am not having a fill till after Jan next year, that is because I dont want to spoil xmas. Everyone is sounding good, I am going to be good from now till exmas and hopefully I will lose about half a stone, fingers crossed. By the way guys, I became a Nana on weds to a lovely little boy Harrison, he is the cutest little man ever x

Congratulations on your new grandson Mandy, Harrison is a lovely name.

I know this band can be depressing. Last month I was elated with my weight loss and this month Im really p***ed off. I havent done anything differently but hardly any weight loss. Im going for 4th fill on Tuesday at Glasgow with Wendy. So hopefully that will get things moving again.

Flirty you have done so well without restriction and I think your doing the right thing going to see Wendy she has a vast knowledge of the band and Im sure she will set you right. Jx

Hi all congratulations Mandy on your new arrival .You will just need to stick in there until you get your restriction.I think it took me a while to get my head round that if you keep getting stuck and end up in pain it meant i was eating too fast or too much.If you dont chew properly this will happen also.If you dont get your head round these three things when you do get more restriction the pain will just get worse.Like gary said a few pages back the band is just a tool your eating patterns have to change like i have found out and most people who have had sticking episodes. The band can change how much we put in our stomach but not how much we put in our mouth and how quick .Still today sometimes i put a mouthfull of food in without realizing I'm still chewing food.I hope you get your half stone off for Xmas i will be trying for that my self.Good luck

Feel sorry for you flirty thats some amount of money to shell out for no restriction. But you have done great and you know yourself if you didnt have the band it would of been a hell of a lot harder.Ps if i had to shell out that kind of money i would be ranting too.lol

Great photos gary and you too bev that Soup still gives me the baulk thinking of it.

Keep your chin up timeisnow it will get easier. if you keep up your exercise it will pay off eventually.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
