Hello Everyone. Just a story to let some of the newer bandsters know, I was banded September 23rd and now, 9 months later I am only 15 lbs. until I hit my goal. It is remarkable.

I've haven't had to be adjusted since January and I have 4 cc. in my 7 cc. band. I have absolutely no regrets about the band or Dr. Chris. And I tell everyone who asks because it has been wonderful for me.

waht fantastic news!!! i can't wait to have mine done now:smile2: i am so pleased i booked with dr chris he sounds like a great surgeon.

Hi

I also asked this question and was told it was because the fizzy bubbles expand the pouch, dont know if this effects it permanently or not tho

Thank you for the kind words.

Wannabe, with me food has quit being an issue (!!!) amazingly. Instead of it being the treasure I want to dive into, it's become something to keep me from getting weak and dizzy.

Even with only 4cc, I tend to be on the tighter restriction side. So, in the mornings I either only have coffee and maybe a small yogurt if I am hungry. lunch is usually some salmon and dinner is whatever I make for the family.

And it really has gotten to the point that I don't think THAT much about what I'm eating because I never eat enough for it to be terribly bad for me. I made ooey gooey lasagna last nice and it was good, but I only had a sliver.

So, I stick to Protein first and then a vegetable or something if I'm not full.

My BIG weakness is ice cream, this is a new addiction. But, when I indulge, I will usually choose to have an ice cream cone INSTEAD of a meal.....poor nutrition I know but SO GOOD and I do it in moderation.

That was a lot of words for no answer, huh? hahahahah

Don't know if anyone is interested, but Vanessa Feltz has now had a gastric band fitted AND she went to Belgium for it! Her story is in this week's OK magazine......Wonder did she have it done with Dr Chris?

WOO HOO - just got into a pair of jeans that I have had for years and never been able to get into - delighted

Not weighed myself but reckon I am almost at the 2 stone point now which is fabulous.

2nd Fill has made a difference and is really limiting what I eat and when but main thing it is taking my focus away from food as not really hungry.

Getting into my dream wedding dress next September is seeming more and more achievable by the day.

Good luck to everyone going off to be banded shortly - I am sure that just like me you will be making the best decision you have ever made

Kerry xx

Hello All

Vanessa Feltz went to St Elizabeths in Ghent with Dr Marc Focquet fitted her with a gastric band.

Good that she has been so open about it.

Take care

Claire

I've heard of Dr Marc, I'm sure I spoke to a lady in Manchester fills, she said he was the only surgeon around atm that would fit Bands if you only had a 25 bmi.

She had dieted all her life to stay slim and was sick of it, so he is the fella to see apparently. I remember thinking about my size 12 daughter who has a BMI of 25 and wants a band for the same reason.

Good on Vanessa.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
