4 days post op and bored of food and being home

I had my surgery Wednesday and came home Friday. Today was the first day I have really been able to sip throughout the day without issue. I am already getting sick of broth and Water. I hate pudding. I also tried Jello with protien but my stomach won't let me consume but so much. I want to go back to work next week but I doubt I will be able to. I know it sounds like a bunch of complaints but well....... basically it is. I just need some encouragement to get past this stage. 2 weeks seems like a distance dream be forever things can change ????

Have you tried Syntrax Necture? I get it from Amazon and when I have days when I don't feel like eating (which isnt often now), I make sure I get my Protein in with this. I have tried a few flavours but only really like the grape. I make a huge glass of it and use a full scoop which makes it 24g of protein. I also have protein latte, which I have every morning, winter and summer and thats lovely too.

Once you start on the next stage it will be so much easier. Don't rush though, listen to your body.

Hope you feel better soon :)

The liquid stage, by far, was the most unpleasant time of this entire journey for me. It does get better. Just power through for now and take solace in the fact that this is the worst time of it.

In terms of the boredom, I recommend finding something that you enjoy doing and devote part of your day to it. For me, it was going to my spa for tanning, red light therapy, hydration therapy, and massage. I went every day at 1:00pm during my six week medical leave. The spa is about a mile from my house, so the walk down and back gave me my exercise, and it got me out of the house for about 2.5 hours each day. I also napped A LOT in the early days. My life and career is so hectic that I actually relished in the quiet, silence, and nothing-to-doness!

Good luck!
