Bmi Greater Than 50 And Success

Any banders out there with a BMI of greater than 50 who have had success in reaching there goals?

I have been on this "I should have had bypass" kick and I need to change that way of thinking.

Look forward to hearing your stories.

Also,

any tips or links to easy meal ideas would be great.

Thanks!

I started out with a BMI of 55 and the band has worked very well for me. You will find some great folks over in the super size bandsters forum. Good luck with your decision!

I don't remember my starting BMI... 54, 56... something like that. I'm currently around BMI 34 with about 50 lbs to go.

I started out at 62 (same as my age) and 18 mo later I'm at 35. My reasoning for choosing the LapBand over GB is that for most people it's only very effective for a couple of years, LapBand is good forever. I knew I oouldn't lose the 220 lbs I needed to lose in that short a time - I needed a forever tool! It's not as quick but it's a healthy way to lose and I couldn't be happier. :clap2:
