18 months after lap band revision to RNY

  • Popular Post

Hi all,

I've been slowly but surely getting closer to my goal of 150-160.

Sunday marked 18 months since my revision. It was not a walk in the park, but completely worth it. I have PCOS, and the insulin resistance was making it virtually impossible to lose weight.

I've got a few other posts out there with pictures documenting my progress over time. I'll post a before and after picture on this post as well.

I post because I was completely discouraged by six months out--I wasn't losing as fast as others that post here and it was getting me down. Hopefully other people can be reassured by this post that if you follow the eating plan, you will eventually lose weight no matter how lousy your metabolism.

Here goes: winter 2014 and this morning

You'll get there. After the first six months, I'm only losing about a lb per week, and sometimes less!

Thanks for posting - I was feeling discouraged and this really helped.

You are an inspiration to me. I had the Lapband for 3 years and had nothing but trouble from the start. I had it removed this past May and im having the gastric bypass next month. I also suffer from pcos. I hope this surgery is different . I don't want to feel like a failure. People do not say good things when they hear you are having a second surgery. So I'm glad to hat there are others our here like me. And I'm super happy to see your success. You look amazing!

You look amazing . I just had my surgery on 1/4/17. So far so good . I am 20 lbs down as of today. I haven't done any pics yet but I just found this app 2 days ago. I will be using it a lot because I love ❤️ sharing stories.
