Need band & plication revision to Gastric bypass self pay...who do you recommend in California?

Recommended Posts

I need my band and plication revised to Gastric bypass. I am self pay, do you recommend anyone in So California?

Currently my surgeon is way expensive for a revision, so I'm trying to find a new doctor.

I'm in SoCal and actually discussed a band/plication revision to a bypass with my surgeon today. My doctor is Helmuth Billy in Ventura. He is great! I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet, but after close to 4 years, I'm having horrible reflux issues and I've gained back close to 30 of the 70 pounds I lost.

I don't know what he charges for self pay, but I can tell you that he's a great surgeon. Here is the link to his website http://www.drbillybariatrics.com

Good luck!

Will you be self pay? Or insurance is going to cover you?

Hopefully insurance will cover it. My doctor seems to think so, but I haven't gone through the process. If insurance doesn't cover it, I'm not having it. That is a cost/debt I won't take on at this point.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
