They are arrange of sizes. I hope they come arround. I gave my fiance 3 months to adjust to it and he called it a unnecessary surgery and didnt support me so i broke the engagement off yesterday. It's really hard thanks for you guys ... Atleast you all support me

My mom was so opposed to the surgery I decided not to have it, now after almost 2 years I still lose and gain the same 20-25 lbs all day everyday, I am back to my nutrition classes and have about four months to go. My mom is acting like she's going to disown me but she's my best friend and she's just scared and won't change her mind but I am not doing this for her and she isn't the one carrying around an extra 80 - 100 lbs every day.

I told them first I was thinking about it and gradually told them oh yeah my nutrition classes start and eventually told them I was definitely having the surgery. So I gave them a little info at a time to make it easier for them to absorb and it worked pretty good, now they know I am not changing my mind.

@@logen000 I told my TWIN sister about 2 days ago and she was absolutely horrible about it... calling me a quitter, 'you're dumber than I thought', I'm giving up etc. keep in mind she's about 20 lbs heavier than myself and has not tried other methods of losing like I have! It was really really hurtful, so I understand. I've decided that I'm not going to provide her with any updates. My life. My body. My choice.

Sounds like she's worried that instead of 20 pounds heavier than you, she'll be 120 pounds heavier. Hopefully she can educate herself about this surgery and maybe she'll join you.

I agree, I do think that's what it is.

Perhaps pouch reset and if that doesn't work, a revision? there are therapists who specialize in binge eating disorder. I found an intensive outpatient program that included supportive eating (where you learn to recognize hunger and fullness cues), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (a behavior modification support), movement therapy, nutrition and other insight based therapies. I am going back after surgery and as often after that as needed. I know I will need the support. It's very hard to change something your body knows and you've been doing since childhood.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
