First Post- December Sleeve

Hello,

I'm Rose, I'm 21 and live in Denton Texas. I just got the sleeve gastrectomy and duodenal switch done on 12/5. The surgery was a lot more painful than I originally expected. I was supposed to stay just overnight and ended up staying in the hospital for four days! And I had to get a drain put in that wasn't removed until 12/13. Since I've been home I'm still struggling with getting in all my liquids and Protein and I'm already supposed to start the purée diet Monday. I'm really anxious but excited about my journey and everything still to come. If anyone wants to be my friend so we can help each other along I'd greatly appreciate it. Anyone else get the vsg and ds done at the same time? Anyone else in their 20's? My nurses and doctors kept commenting on how young I am.

    Yeah it's been a bit rough for me, I got the stomach flu from my nieces so that hasn't been fun! I feel like my esophagus is so tight I'm not really able to get a lot of food down. I know it will get better I just need to be patient! I've lost 30 pounds since surgery though so that's good!
