Since currently gastric balloon is self pay and not covered by any insurance company in the US, how expensive were the post insertion medications (patch, anti nausea, emetic, etc.) or was it included with the surgery costs or did insurance pick them up?

My insurance paid all meds

My insurance covered my meds at the typical rates, as well. I don't recall how much my exact out of pocket was, but it was comparable to whatever I pay for other prescriptions. The only thing that's not covered is the procedure itself (and any meds that you receive as part of the procedure - for example, the patch - are included in the cost of the procedure). Best wishes!
