  3. It is normal. Having the baloon is no walk in the park. I felt that way for about 10-12 weeks also vomited everything. Got dehydrated despite the meds. Now that I'm 5 months out I feel that the seriousness of how you might feel is very much downplayed by the doctors offices and their staff. I went through 2 periods of time whereby I wanted the balloon removed but I'm glad I hung in there. Losing over 40 pounds is worth it to me
  4. I felt pretty bad for a couple of weeks, maybe longer, but no regrets at all. 45 pounds gone and for the last 4.5 months I've felt great. Its totally worth it. As far as you possibly being discouraged by the weight loss after 8 days, keep in mind you might be getting dehydrated and the body will hold on to Water weight until that's corrected, so sip small amounts several times an hour to up your fluids and ill bet you'll start to see some serious weight loss. Hang in there.
  5. Baloon is placed inside stomach. The procedures you had were skin incisions and involved uterus Nothing to be concerned about
  6. I doubt it. I believe they Are referring to surgeries involving internal organs
  7. Balloon. I don't know much about the sleeve at all.

  13. Yes! And it continues 3 months for me. But here's why: the vomiting never got under control until yesterday with the addition of raglan absorbers. As a result my blood pressure tanked and I was dehydrated. I'm on the upswing now. Lost weight too fast. Should slow down with those issues under control. I meant Reglan and Promethazine
  14. So happy you're able to get your meds down with less difficulty!
  15. Stomach cannot empty itself in a normal fashion. Symptoms gerd, vomiting undigested food, nausea, bloating, low blood sugar and weakness. I saw doc today due to ongoing symptoms. He mentioned gastroparesis for the first time. It all makes sense now. Additional meds resolving problems.

  21. I still have 3 months to go and have lost 47 pounds. I should be thrilled but quality of life is terrible. Throwing up 3-5 times a day, weakness, little sleep. Fighting dehydration constantly. I have been in contact with doc many times over the past six weeks resulting in 3 additional meds. So now on Nexium, Reglan,Phenergan and lorazepam as needed. Seeing doc tomorrow. I really don't want early removal of the balloon as with a starting BMI of 30, it's my only option. Thoughts? Advice? Thanks !
  22. If I had known I could have had a sleeve I would have done it in a heartbeat my Bmi was 30 so assumed it wasn't possible
  23. I agree! 3 pounds a week is excellent. My balloon went in on April 22. I've lost 38 so far and while its slowed down. This averages out to 3 lbs a week basically. Relax you're doing fine.
