Day 2 of the pre-op diet

Good morning all!

I am having my RNY on 11/28. I started the pre op diet yesterday and I'm doing ok. A little headachy and a bit sluggish, but I've been reassured in a few days I'll feel pretty good.

I'm both excited and nervous regarding the surgery. I know it's the right thing to do especially since I have health issues I was born with.

My surgery is obviously right around the holidays and I'm wondering how others have dealt with the holidays since having the surgery and ALL the questions. At times I struggle with wondering what the holidays will be like now compared to what they've been in the past. I know the surgery is the right thing to do and I will get through the next 12 days and the surgery and everything that comes with it, I just wondered how bothers dealt with the holidays etc.

The first Holiday Thanksgiving after my RNY (2013) I thought I would be ok. I didn't get the chance because I had Strictures and needed 5 endoscopes with 4 dilations. But I really have NOT enjoyed any food situations at all. It just feels like so much work for the small amount I can eat. Luckily, I have given my daughter the cooking for all of the Holidays. So I don't have lots of food to eat at home. I hope everything goes great for you. Good Luck
