Hunger doesn't seem to bother me however having major headaches don't know if it's related or what!!??

It could definitely be related. I heard some folks suggest to make sure you have enough sodium if you are having headaches.

I am going to upgrade my broth for tomorrow. I think I'll cook carrot's, onion, celery and garlic then strain it. It was so bland today. I'm hoping that helps. Otherwise I stayed within my criteria. Genn, I fear the headaches. I suffer from Migraines. When I don't drink enough Water it is a trigger. I hope your feeling better tomorrow. Ahappycamper, I wish i could have something other then liquids. Drink, drink, drink keep your Water going.

That's a great idea with the carrots and celery! I might try that! My broth today was really good, actually! Helped that it's cold outside.

Pushing the water and finally eating my lean and green! I didn't realize how hungry I was until I took the first bite! It'll be nice once I'm in a rhythm with this as far as timing things out goes.

Okay, so for my lean and green meal I had a meatless option. 2 cups of egg beaters was the one I chose.

Holy moly, that's a lot of eggs! I don't think I can even eat it all! I thought it would one or two eggs or the egg beaters equivalent to that. Aside from a lack of space in my stomach issue, I don't think my taste buds can tolerate two cups of eggs. I have a whole half a very large plate full of eggs with about a cup of spring mix lettuce, and I think I'm done.

Do I have to eat all of that? Next time I'm definitely doing chicken!

I am excited for u! Mine is scheduled for nov. 21. I have a weird heartbeat.. an extra beat but my cardiologist saw no reason for concern.. he has already done extensive testing in the past 2 years. But, being worried I insisted on the nuclear stress test. Today I called and told them I did not want it esp since my cardio not concerned... he already ordered it an insurance came back with authorization. What would u do or have done? I know anesthesiology is not gt want to see ABNORMAL on pre op EKG that's for sure.

Oh and do I k ow or does anyone know why I cannot drink fat free/low fat milk alternatives pre op? Thanks! I am very thankful for this chance and a bit worried it will be postponed or maybe not happen. Ironic since the delay is being caused b heart stress test, which may cancel or delay the surgery I want to save my life. LOL. But the. My heart comes first.

Congratulations for everyone heading towards their surgery and new life. I did 18 days of 3 Protein drinks a day before my surgery and it was hard but I managed it.

Keep your eyes on the prize ;) Once again, Congrats x

This definitely seems like a listening to your doctor is best sort of situation. If you're unsure, you could ask them to sit down with you and go over the reasons why you should or should not have one, and they can help you make the choice that's best for you.

Personally, I believe having as much info as possible before surgery is what will help it go as smoothly as it possibly can. It is more difficult for medical professionals to prepare for anything out of the ordinary if they don't have warning. If they know ahead of time, it's easier to make sure there are no surprises. Trust your team, but ask questions. Be sure you are infomed. If you forget, ask again. They won't mind, I promise. They want you to succeed and be fully prepared.

Best of luck!

I had a good day yesterday but I only got 360 cal. My doctor wants me to be 400-600 daily. I added in another Protein shake for lunch, which will help. My upgraded broth tastes awesome. I'm expecting genpro from Amazon tomorrow so I will add that to my broth. My scale says I lost 3 1/2 pounds yesterday, I know the first 10 will come off quickly because of Water weight. My doc wants me to loose 15-20 lbs before November 22nd. I can't imagine. Keep busy everyone. I'm trying.

Definitely look into the sodium! You're doing great! Keep it up! You can definitely make it through this 2 weeks. I've got faith. :)

Great job! Let me know how the genpro works for you? I'm having some broth later and can't wait!

Keep up the good work! We can do this!

Somehow miraculously managed to not eat my emotions today. That was challenge, but not as big of one as I'd expected.

I am hungrier today, but I'm finding it's difficult for me to time out when I eat versus when I have to be out of the house because I have nothing to take for my lean and green meal that's on-the-go and I keep being in situations where I can't eat or only have a few minutes. I really don't have much in the way of actual support at home to help make sure I have what I need, which is very frustrating because the two relatives I live with have had the vsg already and are preparing to have it shortly after I have mine.

So, today has been less ideal, but not terrible. Hopefully tomorrow will be better, but considering what I really need is time to cook chicken (which I don't really have), I think tomorrow will be a repeat of me trying to piece together food that's allowed.

Right now I'm really wishing I could go buy pre-cooked chicken breasts that aren't disgusting or unhealthy.

Blah. I have a hunger headache, so I'm just rambling at this point. Someone stop me before I hurt myself.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
