Did you not like the two procedures he did on you? You're far braver than I. No way could I have surgery there. Seems too risky with too many horror stories

Had a great experience with Dr. Kuri as well as st. Angeles hospital in Tijuana. The lapband just didn't work for me, too much traveling to get fills, unfills. I just scheduled my sleeve procedure for Nov. 30th with Dr, Louisiana Valenzuela in Tijuana. I did a lot of research and I am very happy with my choice. I am so excited and ready for a new journey in my life, one without all my weight. I chose to go to Mexico because I had no Bariatric benefits with my insurance. It's 1/4 of the cost and the surgeon I chose is very good and reputable. They take care of everything, from picking me up at the airport to getting me back and forth to the hospital, as well as a dietician and all this in a highly licensed hospital.

It makes me very angry with the U.S. insurance.programs that they would rather pay for diabetes medication and care, knee and hip replacement, high blood pressure mess as well as complications from these co-morbitites, than to step up and cover a fairly simple procedure that would help alleviate most if not all of the above. But that's another battle I won't take on. Will post how things go pre-op as well as post-op with my experience.
