I can't find the answer to this question anywhere so here goes. Is it okay to take your Vitamins while your stomach is still healing? I would think the capsules may trouble the new sensitive and healing stomach? Is this true? If so how long until you can begin taking capsules? Thank you!

I was told in my preop class to not take vitimins until you so into the pueree stage. Vitimins in the liquid phase will make you nauseous. I hope that helps.

I take Bariatric Advantage Vitamins they dissolve right in your mouth I also take Fred Flintstone with Iron chewable. I was told not to take capsules I'm on Omeprazole so I open the capsule in my mouth and throw the shell away.

I had to do chewable or liquid at that stage. Centrum makes a great new one vitaMINTS that are great and much better than all the others I tried.

My nut said no Vitamins till your second or third week ..

I was not cleared to start Vitamins until 2 weeks post op. I use the multi Vitamin bariatric patch. Swallowing was not an issue. Now my ppi, I opened capsule.
