  1. I use Syntrax Nectar Unflavored Nectar Medical, Unflavored, 1 Pound https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001I1NSUY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_qA8-CbE5JNHHJ
  2. Same.. I can't even stand white meat anymore! So now I use the boneless skinless thighs instead.. But there are so many things that just thinking about them turns my stomach.. Too bad it's not the stuff that I need it to turn my stomach [emoji57]
  3. I'm with you.. Im a carb addict & unfortunately they don't make me sick but I also don't want to start that slide into going back where I was so I refrain from them for the most part because it's too damn easy to get back in those habits! So I try to sub things like cauliflower rice for reg rice or spaghetti squash or zuchinni "zoodles".. You just have to change your expectations of the taste because it's not going to taste the same!
  4. I'm 2 1/2 years post op & my NSVs are clothes for sure, able to wear calf boots (before even extra wide calf didn't fit), recently was able to go on a cruise to the Bahamas that we flew to AND went snorkeling with my sons while there! Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app
  5. Yessss I have thick calves anyways then being fat made it impossible to find boots I paid good money for extra wide calf boots and still couldn't wear them pre-surgery.. NOW I can! Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app
  6. Yeah.. I had Lyme Disease which caused Lyme induced arthritis in both my hips.. It was horrible.. Bone on bone.. I had gained weight because of the Lyme.. I was always heavy but was able to be active then I couldn't.. So I was at a point where I knew it was time to get serious.. I knew I was going to have to have both hips replaced but knew there was no way I was doing that at 340#s.. So had the surgery.. Lost 120.. Had both hips replaced and that was EVERYTHING.. Gave me life back! I hope you're able to find some relieve.. Do your hip first.. It's such an easy recovery!
  7. Everyone is different honestly.. Unfortunately I can pretty much eat what I want.. Sometimes I get a little belly ache but nothing major.. Quite honestly I wish it did make me violently ill.. I do NOT want to slide back down that rabbit hole.. And let me tell you.. You have to stay on top of it because it would be so easy to do!
  8. I'm curious if you and your doctor have discussed this at all.. My doctors wants me off NSAIDS forever since my RNY
  9. Agree Halo Top is good Munky
  10. Being that you are so early out yet, I'd suggest you talk to your dietician about it and see what they say.. Also, you need to make sure your getting all your protein in before anything else.. Now.. HALO TOP ice cream is a high protein ice cream with great flavors.. I've had that.. But I was already 3 months out.. Good luck Munky
  11. I think it's a very smart idea.. You already are having issues with your joints no point in waiting till you're totally disabled by it.. I wish I hadn't waited so long.. Just remember you have to wrap your head around this lifestyle change or it's not going to help.. Its only a tool not a cure Wish you the best! Munky
  12. I know complete what you mean but I feel like if they see my now pic and run the other way then good cuz I dont want to know them anyways.. Took a long time to be comfy in the skin Im in... My wls was because of health issues.. So yeah, I'm making them know me this way then if they keep wanting to know me I'll share that I had wls and I'm losing weight.. Love yourself the way you are and don't take it personal.. Its their issue not yours!! Munky
  13. Weight can fluctuate 3lbs +/- so unless it keeps climbing don't get too shook over it.. But my doctor wanted my calories around 800 I feel like just because you can eat it doesn't mean you should be! I keep my calories around 1000 daily.. I've lost 65#s since surgery 11/22/16.. I've had stalls in the too which was frustrating but everyone goes through those.. Anyways def keep your carbs down make sure you get at least 60 grams of protein.. And watch those calories.. Good luck! Munky
  14. Some of these men specifically were attracted to you for one of several different reasons.. Either that's just what they really are attracted to.. Or ice found lots of times it's because of their own insecurities and they don't feel like they have to worry about you cheating or worry about other guys hitting in you.. Munky
  15. 1 slip up isn't going to affect your surgery if you kept doing it then yes, it could/would.. The pre-op liquid diet is to shrink your liver make surgery safer/easier.. Just get right back to following it and you'll be fine.. Happy Birthday! Munky
  16. I just used regular Bouillion n didn't have any problems.. I hope you are able to find something Munky
  17. Unless they have to open you up to do the bypass your recovery for it shouldn't be much different than it would be for the sleeve.. Also I've noticed quite a few people end up having a revision from sleeve to bypass.. So that might be something you can bring up to your parents.. And yes.. The decision should be made between you and your doctor.. Good luck with your surgery!
  18. Don't stock up pre surgery because your taste can change after surgery!
  19. Pre surgery my fav was syntrax peanut butter flavor powder mix .. After surgery premier protein chocolate pre-made..
  20. Not sure what it is but I made salmon here at home and i got sick.. My stomach got all foamy.. Now I have no desire to eat it again
  21. I had a moment of depression after surgery when I realized I wasn't going to find pleasure in food anymore.. That I can't eat the foods I love like I use to so now I really don't care to have them.. Then managed to get my head wrapped around the fact that food is fuel for my body and now that's how I look at it.. Its a mind thing.. Glad to see you're doing better with it.. Keep up the great job
  22. Is it just chicken broth? Could you sub beef broth? Munky
  23. Not to mention the fried foods and high fat foods are partly what helped to get us into this position .. So I'd say go easy on that stuff even if you can tolerate it.. These surgeries aren't a cure they are a tool.. It is possible to gain weight back after you've lost! Good luck on your wljourney Munky
  24. food has definitely been a happy button and became more so after physical health issues came along and keep me from being able to do much physically anymore without lots of pain.. After surgery when I was able to start eating regular food again.. I was depressed at first because I couldn't eat the food I loved the way I used to eat them.. Then I just realized.. Food is fuel.. Its not really meant to b my pleasure place.. I feel better now but I def need to work on more happy buttons.. Adult Coloring is on of them.. I get my socializing in on Second Life.. Partially anyways.. Munky
  25. Yeah, after finding out I have/had H.Pylori AND Barrett Esophagus syndrome both Doc had to consult with colleagues to make sure we could still go through with surgery.. Because now I have to be checked every couple years to make sure cancer doesn't start in my stomach.. And since part of my stomach isn't connected anymore they can't just scope to look.. Will require MRI or CAT scanBTW.. Sorry you're not getting good support with your family.. I was very blessed with great support! Munky
