Is it possible to be fatter now than preop?

Ok....I am now on my 5th post op day...I look 8 months pregnant and feel it. I've been taking Mirilax which seems to work BUT I still look and feel so uncomfortably bloated...no kidding....I look like I'm pregnant about to give birth at any time. I weight significantly more than I did preop. Please tell me this is normal and there are others who've been through this? How long should I plan to suffur?

This is totally normal. You are puffed up from all the IV fluids and gas they put in you while at the hospital. It can take several days for all to leave your system. Your also likely swelled from having major surgery. Try to walk when you can and get your water in and you will start seeing it go down soon.

Yes honey I'm 9 days post op and I still feel the same my stomach is so freaking and still discomfort. Mines poking out more then it did when I went in surgery... Did u weigh your self

I gained 19 pounds on the day of surgery. My surgeon laughed and told me to go home and pee it out. It was gone after a week.

Yes, I'm about 6 lbs heavier than the morning of surgery. It's rock solid belly and is so uncomfortable.

I had lost 8 lbs during my liquid preop diet but then gained about 3 lbs the night before. Now I'm 6 lbs up...and all in my belly.
