I had surgery on September 26, 2016. I was released from the hospital the next day and I'm doing great! My abdomen is a little sore, but otherwise, no issues at all. I weight 185 pounds when I went into the hospital; today I am 172.4! My blood sugar is normal, and I am off meds. Also, my blood pressure is normal and I am off all but one bp medication; and I'm only taking half of that!
No one thought I should have WLS. My husband was against it, but was supportive anyway. None of my friends thought I was heavy enough to have the surgery. But I feel it was worth it because it I feel so good and I'm already off diabetic medications and most of my other meds. So glad I did this!
