November sleevers?

  • Popular Post

Surgery scheduled for November 17th. Anyone know of any online support groups for those of us having surgery in November?

Yay Xombae! Sleeve buddies! How have you been coping with wedding and the pre op diet?

My preop diet is pretty lax (egg whites, turkey deli meat, chicken, white fish, protein shakes) but being at work in the lunchroom with everyone is a little tough. I'm noticing everyone is eating everything I can't have. And as far as the wedding goes, it's just a small courthouse wedding with a few family members so stress is low.

I'm doing both, 2 shakes and chicken fillet or fish with veg for the evening meal. It's no too bad, but when someone passes by with a pizza...... sooooo hard! :-)

I would kill for veggies right now ><

No, but my plan states specifically no fruits or vegetables. I'll post it on here when I get home.

Okay, it's different in the UK. All i had yesterday was a cup of hot chicken stock for breakfast as I didn't have any milk for shakes and 2 bottles of water. Then had steam stirfry veg and 2 cod fillets when 8 got home from the hospital. How did your pre op go. Did they swab you for MRSA?

Nope, all I have left to do is a blood test the day before surgery.

It looks like mine will be the first or second week in November and I was thinking I could start a Facebook group just for us November sleevers.

I tried joining the group since my sleeve is November 23, but it says no more members are being accepted. If it is okay, I would still like to join.

Welcome luv, we're all here to support each other. Those at the beginning of the month like myself will be here to share with you all. :-)

My surgery is November 4th, and 4 days after my wedding. My status with my insurance company is still pending, but the center I'm going to for my surgery said not to worry since they're out of network. (but I'm paying in network prices)

I'm the 4th as well!!,

AnaDana I started preop diet today and I came to bed early to try to fight the hunger. Not sure if I'm really hungry or if it's all in my head. I know I have to succeed though. Here is what I have to do for mine. attachicon.gifImageUploadedByBariatricPal1477445355.305700.jpg

Aww yay!

I just had my appointment for my pre-op diet today. I felt like such an idiot because I was fighting back tears. I know this will be such a short amount of time in the big scheme of things, but I will be on liquids for 3 weeks. The shakes are $75 a week! I am going to go into bankruptcy paying for this surgery and the supplements. I'm hoping after the first couple days I feel more confident, but right now I am really having a hard time being kind to myself.
