Feeling excited

Just told was a candidate for bypass surgery. But what I don't like is the 6 month sit you do for the insurance coverage. I understand you have to see a dietician and have other things done but 6 moths hope it goes fast.

It is a difficult process, but most of it is driven by the insurance companies. All I can say is just keep trudging on.

It will fly by. But if you apply everything that your guidelines tell you to it will just be a benefit for yourself. Practice eating slow and not drinking while you eat. The process that they have you do is kind of a little test I think. When I had my RNY in July of 2013 they had me do 2 weeks of Protein drinks before my RNY and then 4 nweeks after my surgery. But...every Dr has their own guidelines. The insureance companies just have so many things that they require before your surgery. Like I said it is to your own benefit to practice everything before your surgery to prepare yourself for this LIFE CHANGING JOURNEY!! Good luck, I look forward to following your journey!!

That is true I should start practicing so when time comes I will not have a problem thx for the tip

Congrats :). Don't worry time will go by soon. I felt same way but it's better not to rush things and take it slow. ????????

It will go faster than you think and gives you good time to prepare and make plans! I started a bucket list of things I want to do when I'm a normal size. My friends have added things on my list that all of us will do. I'm 4 weeks post op, feel great , and striving for my list everyday!
