Day 1: Crazy Town

I just had to share my craziness this morning.

I'm on day 1 of my pre-op diet. First of all I hate bananas, and I can't actually remember the last time I ate fruit. Today, Day 1, 8am, driving to work and I swear I can smell bananas and I reacted like I'd been on Survivor for the past month and had been living on a diet of rice and coconuts. Geez, I longed for that banana... And had a near nervous breakdown because I can't eat fruit for the next 2 weeks. I'M MENTAL !! Haha.

Tell me I'm not the only crazy person here.

I'm on day 4 of the pre op diet, you are not alone! I feel like a psycho when I watch my family eat. Oh how I long for a bite of food. I'm getting kind of nervous for my surgery, I feel like I will never be able to eat normally again.

I feel the same way. I feel like I'm questioning this surgery every minute of the day. I love food so much. I know I'll miss it. But I know eventually I'll be able to eat bigger portions (more than half a cup) and that the good from this hopefully will outweigh the bad.
